Pantheon:
assembly of the Gods

Over a century ago, Petros Thomopoulos began storing in his deep stone cellars the finest distillates from the local grapes, ripened in the piercing brilliance of the famous Greek sun.

Following this heritage, the aged distillates are blended with Mediterranean herbs, fine Muscat wines from the Aegean island of Samos and honey from Mountain Olympus, the Thomopoulos Company has created a grape spirit that is poised to write the next chapter in the company’s long international award-winning history.

This unique blend of spirits has been named PANTHEON, recalling the assembly of the Gods, who, all together, with their varied characteristics, represent the beauty, diversity and balance of the world. Pantheon’s label portrays Zeus, the king of the Gods, as a dashing and powerful bull, carrying Europa on his back across the Hellespont to continental “Europe” – just as Greece introduced the culture of distilled spirits and other arts of fine living.

Brandy or Pantheon?

The story of Pantheon begins with aged wine distillates crafted from the famous Attica and Peloponnese grapes ripened in Greece’s renowned sunlight. These distillates then matured in oak casks carefully stored in the dark and silent cellars of the company’s founder Petros Thomopoulos – and here they took on their rich amber color.

To this original nectar, the Pantheon master blender adds a special aged muscat wine from the Aegean island of Samos, a wine whose exceptional taste was already praised by Homer almost 3,000 years ago.

Among other natural aromatic extracts from a variety of Mediterranean herbs a touch of fragrant, wild thyme honey from Mountain Olympus, where mythology places the original Pantheon of the Gods, is added next, giving Pantheon a distinctive note of wildflowers and dried fruit.

Blended, aged again and decanted into a bottle based on Hellinic Dorian simplicity, these ingredients result in a rare spirit of incomparable aroma – delicate bouquet of Attica and Peloponnese grapes, dried fruits and thyme honey –, rich amber color from long, slow maturation in oak casks and deep, flavorful taste mixed with Muscat wines and other natural ingredients. Having passed through this long, loving process, Pantheon is now ready to be shared with the world.
